Well, I was about to say that exact same thing.. But I prefer direct integration with Reason, so if Spire RE performs on-par with the VST, I may just use the RE instead. I do prefer the dark theme of the VST, though. :Szeebot wrote:Get ready for the incoming 'why buy this when we have the vst' in 3...2...1..
How about "If i already own the VST, why buy the RE?"? I'd expect it to be similarly priced as the VST, so, that's about $189. Which is quite a lot, if you already have the VST, and consider getting the RE or not.zeebot wrote:Get ready for the incoming 'why buy this when we have the vst' in 3...2...1..
A lot of the times developers are really cool about working out a discount if you already own the product in Re format and want the vst so I would imagine that would work vice versa.chk071 wrote:How about "If i already own the VST, why buy the RE?"? I do as well, and this little beauty just went to the top of my RE wishlist!EnochLight wrote:Well, I was about to say that exact same thing.. +1000 but for the patch converter but the question "mulitcore support" I think it depends on Reason's Main Application and not from the rack extension itself.SunSetCity wrote:
- a patch converter for all the VST soundbanks (like Team Papen did)
- (most important) full use of multicore support

I notice that it's branded "Preview Edition". I wonder if they'll offer buyers of the RE a discount for the VST at some point...?friday wrote:It is in the shop now for only $59!
Nice!
But i do not understand how the FX section will work?
TBH, i wouldnt do that if i were them due to reselling of the VST licenses.EnochLight wrote:I notice that it's branded "Preview Edition". I wonder if they'll offer buyers of the RE a discount for the VST at some point...?friday wrote:It is in the shop now for only $59!

Officially, they are working on a patch converter, so all patches will eventually be compatible with the RE.Loque wrote:Anyone knows, if the patches are compatible? Like http://reveal-sound.com/store/free
