How do I play the 1 to 8 patterns in sequence?
The front panel shows the 8 Patterns buttons - surely, I can play them one after another?

You can automate the pattern selection and thus create any pattern sequence you want to have.

Yes, correct you access/chain them via Automation in the main Reason Sequencer (or wherever you choose to sequence).
