My dream devices are:
- Malstrom 2 designed by Sonic Charge, loadable samples and wave display like in Padshop Pro.
- Multiband device designed by Propellerhead. A real swiss army knife like Ohmicide, but with Props' user-friendlyness and musical algos.

What's yours?

Sytrus is one of the predictions for one of the mystery synths. And it seems it is.
It's not. ;) Still, what it is will be satisfying. At least to those who desire Sytrus... :D

I haven't used Spire; I've had a look at it and while I'm not doubting it's good I do struggle to see what it's "thing" is. I'm sure that'd change if I used it :) But between Bazille, DUNE 2, Z3TA+ 2, Massive and Serum...damn I just don't know there's much else I really need right now!

As for RE's of my dreams;

• A Polyplex style randomized drum synth (with custom sample loading) that constructs an infinite number of new kits using multi-layered drum pads

• Any (or preferably all) of the Korg Gadgets, because those things are just awesome. I would buy all of them.

• An all-in-one groove box with pattern controls and a step sequencer like ReDrum (but with more parameters per step than just on/off. Even just one rhythm and synth module would be cool. I like small/real-world setups

MORE GUITAR & BASS AMPS MADE BY TOP COMPANIES. And zero latency audio to midi. If only I could route my guitar audio track into Thor and stuff! The gates of heaven would open up and unleash the music in my head.

Hi Jase

Sounds like you need to look into a MIDI pickup for your Axe. I remember Midge Ure saying it was pretty cool but you just had to be sure you played cleanly or you fired off duff notes. That was in about 1989 so they are probably pretty decent now.

I've looked into all that and am not impressed. Right now it's still crude technology. Muse does some crazy killer midi sh*t with their guitar and bass. I jst don't know exactly what they're doing besides the fact that their guitars are custom made and it's SUPER expensive; pretty unrealistic for the average person. And there are pedals and things too but those don't impress me either. It's gotta be in the works though getting better. So far the Roland GR-20 and Fishman TriplePlay are the best but I don't want a big wart on my guitar. So I guess I'll have to wait. What I really want is to be able to whale a lead synth on my guitar, bends and all.

I tried MIDI pickups. Wasn't feeling it. I've heard great things about the YRG Gen 2 which, if you can get past the fact it looks like a P.O.S. is supposed to be really good, mainly because there's no conversion going on. It's instantaneous.

Please oh please don't let it be "sytREs" or "REtrus" or "Sytrus lite" or "Sytrus knockoff" or anything like any of those.

Granulator.

Propellerheads should offer Robert Henke an absurd amount of money to come work for them :P

Yes indeed. I asked for people's DREAM devices, not just some vst you would like to see ported. "This would be kinda nice to have" does not exactly sound like a dream.

Hmm? Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't a "Ohmicide-like" device be considered a ported VST you'd like to see? Just saying :? .

My dream device would be step sequencer with MIDI step entry, with the ability to send notes to track...
