Fritz is a granular effects device. Incoming audio is sampled and played back in small segments called grains. Many grains can play back at the same time, each with its own set of parameters. This simple mechanism can create complex and psychedelic effects including pitch shifting, drone synthesis, stutters, glitches, reverbs, pitch smearing, time smearing, chord generation, texture clouds, sonic bursting, and many effects that are too strange to be named.

All audio demos were created with looping the beginning audio and just hitting the random patch generator over and over and over and over, no editing was done.

Details soon...

Its actually named Fritz as a hommage to one my favorite albums, Pomme Fritz. Messing around with this device made some amazingly similar sounds.

That's a lot more interesting ;) I was a big fan of their album U.F.Orb

I'm really liking this. Already got some nice stuff going on with a Pad sound and also to modulate the reverb on some drums.

I am a huge fan of this trend for allowing parameter randomisation. It's a big plus for me, especially on devices like this.

I'm thinking you did indirectly name it after being "on the fritz" since French fries in French is pommes FRITES, not FRITZ. So they were probably making a play on words, and then you piggy backed off that.

The quality + the random patch generator sold me on it, but it'll be a couple of weeks before I actually make the purchase, plus, I'll need to make sure my CPU can handle it. :)

Just out of curiosity and amusement, why does this have 200 LFOs, and where are they controlled?
I write acid music in Reason and perform live on a bunch of machines without computers.

I have a sneaking suspicion that Fritz will be 50 guitar effects and 50 vocal effects right out of the device (intended or unintended), then the sky's the limit.

My request might be dumb but my wallet really wants to see a Nostromo / Fritz bundle in the shop (I already own PSQ or would have bought the other bundle!). Think about it Rob. ;)

Makes sense to me. Even to have all three in one bundle as they look alike so much
