THE RULES

• Judge's decision is final
• Only 3 winners with no cash alternative.
• Song challenge begins Tuesday, August 30th, 2016
• Song challenge ends Thursday, September 29, 2016 @ 11:59 pm EST
• After the closing date, you are not allowed to change, alter or resubmit your entry. Any re-submissions or alterations will result in disqualification
• All entrants, when requested, must be prepared to provide evidence that the rules have been adhered to. This includes providing a copy of the Reason song file to verify that only the Expanse Hyperwave Synthesizer was used for synth sounds.

What you may use in your song (with copyright permission):

• Expanse Hyperwave Synthesizer Re for all synth sounds
• Any Reason native and rack extension Effects and Utilities, including R9 "Players" (no external plug-ins or hardware)
• Any drums from the FSB or sample libraries, but not from external plug-ins
• Any recorded instruments and vocals (excluding external synths)
• Any vocal samples
• Any collaboration for any of the above

What you may not use in your song:

• No synth that is not Expanse Hyperwave Synthesizer (including Combinators featuring Expanse Hyperwave Synthesizer that include any other synth)
• No external plug-ins or hardware
• No instrument samples (you can use drums samples and samples of Expanse Hyperwave Synthesizer)
• No programs outside of Reason that generate synth sounds
• No copyrighted material (Note: Breakbeat samples from the Factory Soundbank are cleared for use according to Propellerhead Software)
• No cover songs

THE SUBMISSION
All participants must post their song in this thread and we will update the OP to include each entry. This confirms your song was accepted.

Congratulations to all 93 entries! This is the first time we hosted a song challenge without SoundCloud Groups and we think it went well. Although it takes a while for the page to load, we think it is a good solution for now. This new method also allows us to accept songs uploaded to SoundCloud, Allihoopa, BandCamp, YouTube, etc. We will try to announce the winners within a week, although we've never had this many entries before. We will do our best to wrap it up as soon as possible and will keep you posted. Good luck to all.

I think the question probably pertains to using A-List in lieu of recording an external guitar (which is allowed).
And since Expanse isn't a guitar synth... Having A-List Guitarist should be about the same as recording an instrument or similar to using something else in Reason for drums. But I'm not the rule maker

We have decided that A-List guitars cannot be used. Also, regarding drum synth, only sample based drums can be used. These rules fit the spirit of the competition which is to showcase Expanse synthesizer.

Here's my entry, a lot of fun with this Synth.

Sorry if my question is redundant or naif, can I use drum samples coming from a commercial refill/sample pack that I bought?

Can I ask 2 things?

- In which format you want the entryr?
A plain Reason song or ? Wav ? Mp3....

- Can I master the final bus in an external Daw or mastering has to be done in the actual chain ?
