Holy shit! Wow wasn't ready for that. So many great entries.

Big surprise, but I'm not complaining. I was ready to go straight to the Propellerhead Shop and buy it.
Congrats to Furyweekend and Artotaku.
I'll make sure to vote for the 4th place winner.

Big thanks to Synapse Audio and Noel for arranging this Song Challenge.

A big thanks to all participants! Note it was so close that not being 1st, 2nd or 3rd does not mean anything at all, there was a large pool of potential winners in our view and we simply had to make a choice. Perhaps there is a track that Reasontalk forum members feel strongly should have won, hence the community vote :)

Wow. Getting used to the 3rd place ;-)
Big thanks to Noel for hosting these challenges, Synapse Audio for developing a milestone synth for the RE platform, Tritone and Fury for the gold and silver medals as well as all other participants. Great entries we had.
If I wouldn´t have won The Legend, I´d bought it for sure.

Congrats to all.

Tritone, that is a super track that drips Moog sound.

Congrats to the winners! The standar for this challenge was very high indeed.

The Legend is a joy to work with. Great sound and interface. It's especially good for bass sounds. Will buy for sure!

The reverb is very good also. All Synapse reverbs works really great with synth sounds when you want these big spaces I find. Have you ever thought about making a advanced reverb Synapse? In the vain off Strymons Big Sky but with your touch. That would be something.

Thanks, appreciate it.
Funny, I don't know anything about Moog or analog synths, so whatever Moog sound I managed to get in the track was highly unintentional.
But The Legend is a Moog emulation after all, so I guess it makes sense that a song using only The Legend will end up sounding "Moogy".

You'd a thunk but oddly most of the entries are trying so hard to sound "modern" the even succeed.

Good job to all, lots of great entries and congrats to the winners ofc. Props to Noel and SynapseAudio for this song challenge. Like Stratatonic says, these challenges are getting better/harder every time with this quality of entries, so we got to push it even further. Time to step up the game b*tches!! :D
ps. Thanks for the 4 votes on my song, whoever voted for it. Muchas gracias.

Thank you all for your kind words. The quality is definitely increasing with each new song challenge, so the judging is getting more difficult. I think the public voting for the 4th spot may become a new tradition. You guys/gals agree?

Maybe we should do a poll for all competitions (top 3), instead of the judges call? You can have a price of the jury if you wish. But public vote is much better imo. Democracy is such a cool thing :)

Glad to see All The Time is doing great, it was my fave.

direct democracy?

IMHO; sometimes you also have in a beautiful country like Switzerland the fifth season. We swim in freezing rivers, we play deliberately discordant music, and we voted overwhelmingly against having more holidays &. pension paid ;)

The only problem with democracy (public voting) here is if a Song Challenge has 70-90 tracks (like with The Legend and Expanse). That's 7-9 full albums to carefully listen to and judge.
I'm not sure I would be able to find the time to listen through all that, especially if I want to give each song a fair listen and not just skim through them.

I'm up for voluntarily public voting for the 4th place, otherwise I'm fine with the dictatorship we have right now :)

I think Noel and the developer should be the judges since they're the ones setting these song challenges up. And it's the developer who's giving away products.
Besides I'm in these song challenges to write songs and try new REs. And it's fun to listen to how differently everyone uses a synth in their music. But I'm not really interested in being a judge.

But this is just one opinion, I'm sure plenty of people feel differently.

The night I started messing around with The Legend looking for ideas on the song I was going to make, I grabbed my phone and made a quick video. Don't know how much Vocoding you may have done, but reactions on Facebook to this video tells me not many people know that you can literally "play" chords into your vocals, etc - check it out. This is Vocoding with The Legend as the synth carrier.

The song I entered is "This is My Jam" - Space and Drums seen in the list above

speak in riddles
1. no argument given Jury to be called dictatorship
2. that's not the same direct democracy/democracy
3. a public vote is not the proof of democracy (direct democracy = only the participant is a part of it)
4. it is well to generate traffics
