Finally picked up the Toolbox RE. These were the first RE's I picked up in probably over a year.

Since the Toolbox is available both as a RE and VST, have you maybe checked the performance difference between the two for the same, complex patch? I'm planning to get it as a VST (I believe we spoke earlier today over at FB ) because I also use other DAWs, but I'm wondering about the performance hit.

It's because it's always on in the RE.
(Having it turned off is more of a legacy mode.)

But if I take the back cover off and I don't see any correlating in there, I'm gonna trash the place.

Well, I know that the REs are slightly slower than the corresponding VST in another daw because reasons, but I honestly haven't compared running the snapins as REs vs VSTs within Reason. Could be an interesting test.
