Hello. The TSM2040z acts as a SubLP filter to enhance bass frequencies at high resonance. Depending on the type of noise, you can adjust the value of the low frequency signal.

By increasing the resonance, which boosts low frequencies, you can explore how your bass sounds by adjusting the frequency to find the balance between preserving your desired bass signal and removing unwanted noise.

There are no strict guidelines; the settings depend on the characteristics of your signal and the type of noise.

You can choose from LP Filter (boost off), SubLP (boosts frequencies between 40-160 Hz), or Boost+ResoValueBoost.

This approach might help, but it might not be perfect for eliminating noise. It's simply a LP filter that uses resonance to boost low frequencies. This technique was common in the early era of the first polysynths, like the initial iterations of the 2040 filter chip..
Orignal SSM2040 chip have sub low frequency boost in 20-40 Hz range and with low value.
But we make wider boost range of 40-160 Hz for creative use vs limitation of early hardware revisions of this chip. That help make thinner sound more fat, and make this filter more special.
