Can anyone tell me the cheapest way to make a modular synth in Reason 9? I have pulsar, for the lfo, and the filter, but I need an vco and envelope. I'm thinking the lecture panda vco, but I'm not sure if it has envelope control. And what is the cheapest envelope that can be used in such a way to control filters, amplitude, etc?

Thanks

Yes, use Thor. It's semi-modular. Or use Thor as the oscillator.

Thor, Malström, Subtractor, PX7, polymodular system, PSQ-1684, the jiggerypokery cv stuff, ochen k., basically you can have so much fun with all the CV tools... Euclid ... what else?!

Pulsar can be an oscillator, look up ammo that might be handy, but I'd honestly just prefer the polymodular system by blamsoft it's very intuitive and the movement envelope generator can also be used as an LFO and an oscillator which is awesome imo

Cheapest modular synth in real life would probably be an one oscilator, one vca, one filter, one envelope and one lfo...
But you don't want that, you want the craziest shit that no one has.
In this case you have Reason already, just try to patch it the way no one has before.

You could use this beside all other already mentioned
https://shop.propellerheads.se/product/ ... generator/
and draw your envelope directly into the sequencer.

Oh wow. That's a very interesting idea. That may be a bit too much work for this guy.

Check out A series modular by Ochen K. I own and use it whenever I'm feeling in a modular mood!

Blamsoft has two variations of their polymodular RE bundles. Between them, and the jiggery-pokery gear, I feel like I could create modular sounds all day.

Ocher K's A-series modular synths are great. It's like a modular synth(A-series) in modular system(Reason) for me.
