My first instrumental album, 16 of the 18 tracks were produced and engineered in Reason, 2 of them(Progressus & Caffeine Emotions) done in FL Studio
No sampling or remixes, all my own work. My background is I've been making beats for a long time, and engineering for about 3+ years. Would love to hear feedback and what you guys think of the mixing, mastering, song structures etc.

The tracks are very nice. Reminds me of Boris Breicha tracks a lot. I think, mixing, mastering is all ok. At least on my phones. DT880. You have a rather minimal approach to effects used and the number of tracks playing simultaneously, which is not a bad thing for this type of music. This certainly helps in creating a proper sounding mix.
Thanks a lot! I'll have to check him out. Great to hear you like the mixing. By effects which in particular do you mean and what do you think can be added to the tracks? Like more sounds, melodies, percussion etc? I typically average anywhere between 15-22 tracks, not counting any automation lanes or similar effects, like if I have different noise fx, risers, downshifters, vocal phrase fx, I "count" them as a single element since they come in occasionallysudio wrote: ↑02 Mar 2024The tracks are very nice. I don't think that you should add something. The tracks are great as they are. Why are they so short , sometimes ?tomusurp wrote: ↑04 Mar 2024Thanks a lot! I'll have to check him out. thanks. I guess it depends on the structure or if I feel it should end sooner than later. I'm also influenced by multiple genres where some usually average 2-3 minutes. in those cases the beat usually gets to the point quick. i'd imagine if I tried something like progressive techno it would be a lot longersudio wrote: ↑04 Mar 2024I don't think that you should add something.
