Europa VST/AU!!!!!
I'm talking about the VST wrapper. I recall reading last year when VSTs were introduced that the patch browser for the VST wrapper in the rack was dependent on the VST adhering to the VST standard, which is why it was a little surprising that it's not there in the Europa VST. Hopefully it's a fix for a later update.EnochLight wrote: ↑30 May 2018You can scroll through presets with the VST window open - the up and down arrows work with your QWERTY keyboard arrows. You can't map them to your P4?
Anyhow, it's a moot point as there's currently no Europa VST mapping for the Nektar keyboards. Perhaps Carly will add it soon.
If you ain't hip to the rare Housequake, shut up already.
Damn.
Damn.
Maybe we should just be quiet for 1 minute and thank PH for beeing very generous with Reason 10 in the end, giving us a lot of content, several new synths as RE and as VST(!), new SDK and a free DrumSequencer Player. Thank you very much PH and forgive us our hard slapping your face!
Ok...minute is over now...Lets talk about "How to DAW"...just kidding...i have the best hopes for PH. They seem on the right track...

So they have the framework in place for a cloud version of Reason accessible on any device from anywhere in the world. Very clever. Just imagine running Reason as web app in Linux.artotaku wrote: ↑30 May 2018Not only that, I just had a quick look over the JavaScript file that executes/delegates the logic of the device. It seems as there are further player RE devices (scales and chords, dual arpeggio) loaded and connected to Europa. These seem to be used for the scales and chords and arpeggios functionality on the web page. So there is even an interconnection of the REs! I think we will see a web based rack in the future.rcbuse wrote: ↑30 May 2018And a web playable version! https://www.propellerheads.se/europa
Thats pretty amazing!

The VST crashed Reason 10.1 (Win 7) as soon as I tried to resize the GUI.

Anyone else having issues authorising Europa. I can enter the license key, but when I click OK, nothing happens at all.
The question is - Who cares
You copied all of the serial? It works fine on my side.Electric-Metal wrote: ↑30 May 2018Anyone else having issues authorising Europa. I can enter the license key, but when I click OK, nothing happens at all.

Great initiativ by the Props and I am sure that this will be a high quality VST in the near future. But as it is now, it is buggy. It made my Live crash and I don't even remember last time that happened...

for users on mac having issues...make sure you have OS 10.10 or above
great move by Props to diversify their revenue streams and get their brand into more hands. people who think this is a bad sign are a bit off the mark. FL Studio has offered ALL of their native devices as VSTs for a while now, and they're still going strong and enjoying lots of popularity. no need to worry!

$149 (after the intro period) price of the VST to non-Reason owners (or those on 9.5 for that matter) is not bad, and what’s great is that it’s cheaper to upgrade for Reason users and halfway there for non-owners.lowpryo wrote: ↑30 May 2018great move by Props to diversify their revenue streams and get their brand into more hands. people who think this is a bad sign are a bit off the mark. I think we may see more people coming to the fold of Reason users, even if just as Rewire users into another DAW.

All this talk about VST racks has reminded me of the very Rewire-esque sounding ARA2 plugin format upgrade.
Melodyne is still the flagship/primary ARA plugin, but ARA2 sounds like it might be on a truly inter-application modular glue level. I was already hoping that support might show up in Reason, but it hadn't actually occurred to me that the rack might show up as an ARA2 plugin inside another DAW :O
Exciting times!

Wow... just when I thought things couldn't get any weirder theses days... I wake up and see this email by Prop's about that new Europa VST thing. And the browser version looks better than the one in Reason ! X_x I was blind, and now I can see !
But hey it's cool. I can see myself loading up Europa in Live one day. I guess this is the first, from the blog post. If the other ones aren't free, they should at least offer a cross-grade like all the other devs, to keep things fair for us Reason users ! If not, that would be quite the punch in the face.
