Why not just buy 12 and download 11? Any previous version will be active with your current license I believe.

Thanks for that didn't think I could download 11 if I purchased 12....
I don't want to install R12 just yet - as I need to switch between two PC's running Reason and one is still running Windows 7
Also I have some credit on an online store which would mean buying R11 would be cheaper that buying R12...

Actually you're correct in your thinking. You only have access to the versions you purchase. If by some chance you can find a new copy of R11 then yes it will give you Reason 12. If you buy R12 directly you won't have access to R11
