Re: Reason 10 ideas based on Korg Gadget observations
It's the same like ableton live... and very awesome. The Sequencer is just transposed. One row is playing as long as the longest loop max 16 bars (if i rember correctly), and the others are multiplied. I love it. Beeing most productive in this app. No other DAW made me finish tracks as fast as Gadg...

Re: Reason 10 ideas based on Korg Gadget observations
Those chunks, its an approach much like Ableton's session mode. I'd love for reason to be able to do that. You can sort of do things like this with Reason Blocks, but its no where near as convenient as a Live Session .

Re: Reason Memory Usage - is this normal?
Doesn't at all look worrying to me, i besides what others mentioned there are also audio tracks in there. So unless you are running out of memory, which you don't at 68% utilization, i think you're fine. This in general - looking at metrics you don't fully understand can be deceiving.. Seeing many ...

Re: Quantizing
Cool little puzzle. First, what is actually happening ? Sounds like pitch CV is modulated over several octaves and quantized pentatonically. When he operates the slider he's using the portamento function of the module. So basically you should be able to do this with 1 synth, its portamento control a...

Re: Scoring Music? (How do you calculate BPM to fit x amount of bars into y amount of time)
4 bars in 23 seconds. If we use a 4/4 measure that's 16 beats in 23 seconds. To get to BPM we need to know how many times those 16 beats fit in 60 seconds. To calculate divide 60 by 23 which is 2.6. Multiply this by the number of beats and you get 41.6BPM eauhm you're the best :D thank you so much ...

Re: Shouldn't The Echo have a Delay Volume Knob?
Hi All! I put The Echo on a track just and noticed that the effect was now quieter. Now I know you could just turn the volume up but I ended up turning it all the way up to get it back to the volume it originally was. I also left it at the original volume and bypassed The Echo and yes, it's quieter...

Re: Weird sample echoing in reason?
Hey guys thanks for the replies, but I don't have an issue with doubling or loudness. It's that kong is playing a sample after everything the song has been stopped. Whether it be a kick or a snare, or a hi hat...itll constantly play like a slow echo. kick...........kick...............kick.............

A granular synthesis effect. Several ways to accomplish. Usable RE's, Neutron and Fritz.
Takes a bit of tweaking but I managed to get quite close to this effect.

Re: Yet another headphones question
If possible try out if they are a comfortable fit. A great sounding headphone that gives you a headache is useless.
I'm comfortable with the Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro. And it sounds great to my ears. I don't mind if they color (although they are quite usable) because I don't mix on my cans.

Opening in 8 is still an option. Just be damn sure to not save those files in 9, they will get updated and will probably not open up again in 8.

Re: New To Reason - not to recording...basic request...
I have a yamaha ag03 with a mic on input 1. I also have a USB keybord. Both work great. I however cannot figure out how to have a midi track (USB Keyboard) and mic input (ag03) at the same time. In the sequencer I can only hear what is selected. I want both. I basically want to play and sing and be...

Re: Disolving midi track
Yes there is.
select the clip you want to "dissolve".
Open the toolwindow (F8)
Open up the "extract notes to lanes" option.
Select "Explode".
Then either choose "Move" or "Duplicate".
When you duplicate your original clip will be saved.

You can use https://shop.propellerheads.se/product/select-cv-switch/ and control it via a the curve output of a matrix (use unipolar CV). An LFO will work too. For more predictable results use a unipolar LFO. Personally, i prefer https://shop.propellerheads.se/product/shape-lfo-editor/ for controlli...

Re: Radical piano vs piano refill
I don't agree on the level of realism. Sure it sounds great but what I always miss with pure sample based pianos is the sympathetic resonance that makes a real piano "sing". It is something that pianoteq and RadPi can do because they are part physical modeling. If you just want a few chords in the ...
