Re: Anyone of you tried ghostproducing??
I'm ghost producing for a year now, tried a lot of websites and I can say that https://theghostproduction.com is the best all of the websites I've tried Show me something you've done (not for that site) and do tell how much you're making per song and what style works best there? Just listen to the ...

Re: the pianos in reason 11
I personally think Radical Piano is extremely good. It needs some compression and to be put right in the mix but effectively it's a real piano sound in my humble opinion. The tweaking possibilities are also vast. Yeah me too! The radical piano "Martha" patch with a nice plate reverb (or the Softube...

Re: 25 Cents Flat?
Recently I've been having an issue where I can have a guitar or bass guitar input, tuned with an electric tuner or with the built-in Reason tuner, playing a perfect E. The pitch editor shows it as a perfect E. But when I play a perfect E on a synth (e.g., a sawtooth on a Subtractor or Thor), the sy...

Re: Genres are Dumb (if you're looking to find YOUR sound)
In this one, I take a look at the negative impact that composing with a particular genre in mind can potentially have on your ability to find your own sound--especially early on. Enjoy! https://youtu.be/62UnzibxclA I don’t agree at all. Composing with a particular genre in mind when you are a new p...

Re: (Disco-Tech?) Trying to develop my own style/sound
First track: The beginning reminds me of the sound of old andhim tanks, the drums and groove. Speaking of groove, the guitar rhythm sounds to me like it interferes with the groove of the song, I feel it drags it backwards. It is difficult to explain which is the one note that should be moved either...

Re: Reverbs in Mixing
So...i was too lazy to listen to the guy, because he was only talking about BBQ, pepper and other food. What he was doing? Mixing/Blending in send FX? Where is the problem with doing this? Well, I don't see a problem at all. Looking for feedback on his process. I think my next track will have two d...

Okey so i made another song where i did follow the rules!
All the instruments and drums except high hats at 0:32 are ES400
The song is about the longing for next year to come with better news!

Re: Removing audible crackle when using the Razor Tool to Split audio clips?
Its because you cut the soundwave not at 0.
If you cut a soundwave somwhere elese than 0 it creates a crackle.
Add 1 ms fade and it should go away

Re: Why are the reason users a minority?
Let us tell this story. Why are the reason users a minority? There are so many daws, why can't I see any signs of increase? Why don't modern YouTubers use reason? Because the latest version on piratebay i reason 5. A good way to start producing is by using pirated software. Alot of teenagers can't ...

Re: Rack extension idea: Time (h:m:s) visualizer for precise edits
Hi, I would really need an extension that could track time selections from the loop selection or an audio clip in minutes, seconds, etc... I need to export precise edits of different length versions of my songs (15s, 30s, 60s, etc) and unless the song/edit starts at 0 on the sequencer I have to mes...

Re: Assistance required - need help to fix my mix
Is it possible to have anyone look at my mix? I have ended up in a dead end with too much of everything and not able to do a proper mix of the song. Is there somehow a way to have someone look at it and tell me what to do? Best regards Skoglund Post it and ill see if i can give you some feedback.

https://soundcloud.com/thisisitwithit/herman-crantz-crystal-tea Im really happy with the drop at 3:10 :D I'll be honest here, I tried to like it but even though the track sounds well-mixed there wasn't anything in there that really grabbed my imagination. The sound you introduce after the drop is v...

Re: Detecting the pitch of kicks
By the way - in the NNXT you can detect stuff by right clicking on the layers and press the "Automap Zones" - not probably detecting well everything but for the tonal sounds it's almost guaranteed to work. Yes the algorithm is created to detect the pitch of tonal sounds, thats why it works on those...

Re: Detecting the pitch of kicks
I doubt you will find one kick drum in factory sound bank that it can detect correctly Ok, Haven't tested this. Do you think the FSB drums are different somehow then? No I think that you can’t use grain or nnxt for pitch detecting on drums, because it doesn’t work. The pitch detecting is designed f...

Re: Detecting the pitch of kicks
No it has always been wrong with the ones I tried. I would recommend you not to use it for identifying pitch of drums. I do it by ear it’s way better Like I said, the sound detection is based on the 'tonal' rootkey and drums are kinda more like "crap" kind of sounds. Some drums like hardcore techno...

Re: Detecting the pitch of kicks
No it doesn’t detect the correct pitch. Try it yourself with a known tuned kick drum like Bd_hatrick_A, it will tell it’s f# Well I can't tell if it ALWAYS detects the right key, but that's probably because not all the samples have a key in the first place - as their nature always ain't tonal enoug...
