Re: MIDI vs. Sequencer Control Information
Thanks for the responses. This is what I suspected. I'm trying to setup a MIDI Thru structure, but it seems I'm limited to CV using a device like RPG-8. I will try the External MIDI Instrument looped back via virtual cables.

MIDI vs. Sequencer Control Information
Is the information received by an instrument via the Sequencer Control CV ports the same as the information it receives when the instrument is selected and played using a MIDI keyboard?
Thanks, Dave

Re: ReWire Master: 15 years of silence
I've not seen a response from the Props on this topic. Is this something they can't do? Don't want to do? Is it a side agreement with Steinberg? It seems like an obvious enhancement to me, but I clearly don't understand the whole story. I can mimic Rewire with EMI/virtual midi/virtual audio, but it'...

For Sale : Reason 8 (FULL) / for 180$
I am interested in buying a Reason license at a price like $180. But how does this work? Can the license be transferred legally so that it can be properly registered with Propellerheads? How do I go about confirming the authenticity of the license?

It works really well when you CV up ChordSet's individual note outputs into Korde's note override inputs.

did I mention I love playing drums on keys?
I absolutely love playing (attempting too as least..don't judge) the drums on the keys. Anyways, here's a preview to a new song I started writing yesterday. I decided to make a little drum video just for fun. It's shaky and NOT what I'm going to have for the actual song. http://youtu.be/9Si8MEEB4_Y...

Tutorial: Beautiful Pluck Synth!
For what it's worth, this discussion has been very helpful. I know I learned some new things.
The attached song contains a combi that demonstrates the effect of panning, level adjustment, and delay in giving a mono signal a perceived stereo effect. Am I on the right track here?

Tutorial: Epic EDM Lead!
I miss read it, and expected on learning the theory of EDM chords. I know there are a lot of suspensions in them. I enjoyed your tutorial anyway. Classic Reason workout. That's a cool chord progression as well. This might help a bit: http://promusicproducers.com/6-deep-house-chord-progression-tips...

Tutorial: Making your synths sound wide & full.
Great tutorial. Newbie question: Why do you use an RV7000 and an RV-7 for reverb? I'm not questioning your choice - I'd just like to understand the different roles the two devices play.
Thanks in advance,
Dave

howto bounce my little setup
This would make a great tutorial for users (like me...) who always feel like they are in beginner mode. 1. Start with a setup that sounds good, but is a bit of a mess. 2. Clean it up by using tools that are less well understood by a beginner (combis, insert effects, send effects, etc.) 3. Demonstrat...

Check out the Korde Sequencer, and Euclid in the Shop. Also, ReDrum can be used as a step sequencer for this purpose.

All Reason tutorials for controlling & recording external plugins and hardware
Wait...what's going on here? You have Reason rewired to an audio track in Live, and Kontakt and Minimoog loaded as vsts in midi tracks in Live. Is that right? Then it looks like you're playing the vsts from Reason and getting the audio back from Live into Reason. If that's right, how does that work?

ReWire from external plugin
ambeant, The short answer is...no. Reason can only be a Rewire slave, not a Rewire master. You CAN control Massive from Reason, but you need to essentially do Rewire manually. To send MIDI from Reason to Massive, you need to connect a Reason EMI (External MIDI Device) to a virtual MIDI cable (IAC de...

If there is a silver lining to this, it's the work that Rob and others are doing to consolidate and organize so much of this valuable information. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
