Holy... Could people please get down from their piedestals and stop acting like they're 50% smarter than anyone else? Why do you guys even bother discussing this over and over again? Gorgon, Psuper, change your records, PLEASE. Hey Kenni, you might want to read this thread before you go accusing pe...

Re: Synapse sell out: All RE for 199
This is pretty much how I view Waves' strategy of flogging their plugins for $29 Propellerhead seems to be in trouble, or in the very least incapable of figuring out what type of development is going to work well for them 'today' -- all the signs I recognize are pointing to it and frankly have been...

They just downgraded their "buy everything bundle" from $199 to $149 in less than a month to cut losses.
No one is selling RE's if thats the case

Re: PC that can run reason 10 without limitations
The software is bottlenecked out of the box with the CPU Limit set at 80%. I just spoke with Mattias the other day on FB pointing out its an antiquated option that the last OS that would have benefited from it was Windows XP. Reason's problem has nothing to do with hardware but programming. The "CPU...

Re: Q: What is the point of the CPU Limit option in Prefs?
Yes, because telling people that you could damage your property by setting Reasons's CPU Limit to none is absolutely stupid! You can say I'm melting down if you want. Look at what people are saying! That an option in a software's preferences could melt someone's CPU. Go ahead and think I'm the...

Re: Q: What is the point of the CPU Limit option in Prefs?
Look at what's happening here.
People here, including the moderator, are catering to the notion that software could start a fire in your house or melt your computer if you set an option in Preferences to None.......
This is a real shame.

Can't... resist... You don't know software or anything about computers if you think software in 2017 can fry your computer. That's dumbest thing I've ever heard.  Yes, you're clearly a genius when it comes to computers and what can or can't fry them, since you're apparently unfamiliar wi...

Re: Q: What is the point of the CPU Limit option in Prefs?
No Reason user has ever "broken their CPU" by setting the CPU limit to none. Ever. To assume you'd harm your CPU by setting the software limit to none is insane, man. Enough is enough with that setting. It should be removed. You guys can't even properly explain why it's there. We did properly expla...

Re: Reason 10 too slow with VST
Yeah what avasopht said - sometimes these things does help and pragmatism of this forum and fans is really very welcome. Honestly. But at this point we can all agree that Reason need VST optimization - it is like x5 times worse then any other daw but Propellerhead said they are working on it, and l...

Re: Q: What is the point of the CPU Limit option in Prefs?
:/ Ehhhhh. The option only hinders users. Its pretty much the #1 problem on Facebook in all the major groups. Literally, there's a person who complains nearly daily and if you tell them to set it to "None"....they come back cheering. The setting's gotta go. No other DAW has it because it's a non-is...

Re: Q: What is the point of the CPU Limit option in Prefs?
^^^that sort of damage. It shuts down to protect itself, from frying altogether. Most who don't know about the too slow message would probably have a stock cpu fan and not monitor temperatures. I disagree 1000% = There's not one part of what you said that's factual. Reason doesn't shut it self down...

Re: Q: What is the point of the CPU Limit option in Prefs?
I personally fully disagree with this. There are no dropouts when the limit is set to none. NONE is a completely safe setting. I'm also a professional at what I do, Normen = Thousands and literal thousands of hours with Reason with the CPU set to none and there's no dropouts, man. Reason does not d...

Re: Q: What is the point of the CPU Limit option in Prefs?
There can be various reasons for that. I would personally never let any one application utilize 100% of my CPU if I actually had the option of controlling that. One app utilizing 100% CPU is rarely a perfect idea. It can spawn weird side effects, especially from software that are very read/write de...

Q: What is the point of the CPU Limit option in Prefs?
Ok. I seriously solve many people's problems a month on Facebook when they're asking about performance and "CPU too slow to play song". I advise them to set their CPU Limit to NONE, and they come back thanking me and praising me for helping them out. This has literally gone on for a few years now. I...

Re: Reason 10 too slow with VST
I spent a lot of money on a ridiculously beefy PC, and it can't handle more than two of my favourite VSTs at once in Reason, it's as if something is wrong. Youre by no means incorrect. Please talk to anyone else running a business using multiple DAWs and is familiar with the DAW industry worldwide....

Re: Klang, Pangea, Humana - Anyone using them?
I'm absolutely certain I will never use Humana. Mainly because of my hatred for vocal samples in any song, ever. I hate vocal samples utterly and completely. Any time I'm listening to an "instumental" track and there's even the slightest vocal samples in it, I skip the track. Can't stand to listen ...

The AMD 5600+ came out 10 years ago... That's the CPU I built my XP machine around. Ten years ago. I just retired that machine about a year ago. You could possibly upgrade your CPU if you know anything about computers and your motherboard supports it. I actually swapped my 5600+ CPU out for a 4 Cor...

Shutting down the forum was the best thing they ever did for the community. This is much better run with much better moderation. I couldn't disagree more, it had a gigantic user base at a time propellerhead were growing leaps and bounds, and listening to their audience (at least on occasion it appe...
