I don't like RV7000 for IR, done some tests and it seems that it has low resolution in applying a frequency response.
Is there any good RE (with no, or very low latency) that can load IR?

Re: Reason 10 performance / Ram Ddr Go
Hi Riko! As far as I know, adding another 16 GB ram will not not make Reason faster :( I recommend upgrading the CPU (and suitable motherboard for the new CPU). Get the best CPU from INTEL you can afford if you want to record with low latency and more FX than 7700 can handle. You can get some info f...

Hahaha, and some other members suggested that the Complex is too demanding on the CPU! It only took 7 months for the "benchmark" to be maxed out by a desktop CPU (although, an expensive one) ))

Just finished a vanilla Windows 10 build (nothing optimized): 96,000 Hz, 2048 samples Computer too slow to play song @ 56 seconds 44.1 hz, 64 samples. No sweat whole song, no crackles either. Would tinkle on the 4th dsp bar near the end. Please report the following when sharing your results: Your C...

Re: Disk Access Stress Test
Moved the file to SSD (super fast, it was transferred from cached RAM, the utilization of the slow 2.5" HDD was 0% during the transfer) , rebooted, loaded song in Reason plays all tracks 1st try with low SSD utilization.

What is this voodoo? Here are my results. Your question intrigued me. So I booted my PC and loaded the song and bang! Lights up blue disk overload, HDD 100% in use, some of the track don't play. I close the song and open it again, this time disk overload starts appears a bit later but same thing, n...

Cool song and amazing to see all the tracks! Thanks so much for sharing, I hope no rights were violated
Had no issues, it seems that the all the audio streams were loaded into RAM as I saw no HDD activity while playing the song.

I wonder how do the new Intel i5-8400, i5-8600K and i7 8700Kand the new Intel i9 manage in R9, or R10. Anyone that has these care to test and share the results?

Re: Grain Discussion Thread
You can easy get cracks and crackles with this sort of devices. It is like working with samples the starting point ist very important. So it's not Reason performance issues on that particular machine used for streaming, it's Grain? Wonder if they did not thought of picking sample start always start...

Has anyone else noticed the clicks and crackles in the sound when it comes out of Reason? It's so annoying that I can barley fellow the Grain presentation when Grain is being played- it's crackling and clicking. I noticed both on Facebook and YouTube! For example, video time : 3:55: to 4:10 4:35 to ...

Neither Vinylizer nor Grain seem to allow complete control of play direction, speed and acceleration.
I'll trial Vinylizer, but so far it looks like a toy scratch with wet/dry control..

I had an 1700x that I replaced with i7 6800k which is considerably better for Reason. You can search this forum, there are 2 benchmark threads for Reason and you can get some info from there too. https://forum.reasontalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=7501402 https://forum.reasontalk.com/viewtopic.php?t=72...

Re: Reason 9.5 & above CPU Stress Tests (2017, two different songfiles included)!
whats weird is that task manager never shows utilization above 49%, even when i remove the CPU usage limit. I don't think reason 9.5 is optimized for more than 4 cores R7 1700 has 8 cores physical and 16 threads. Windows task manager reports the load percentage for the 16 threads (logic cores), but...

We need just one Testsong. A longer one.. let it Play 20-30min!! First: It is more accurate, Second it's possible to Test with all CPU's. Single CPU up to 20 Multicore CPU's.. The purpose for this particular test was to find the next best CPU performance/$ for users like myself that already have a computer which can play the whole R8+ benchmark song. Oh man Kategra! I'm having real trouble working out the purpose of this particular test other than it being a game of "How quickly can I knock out the top 10 cpus in the World" or "How high can I make my wee wee go". You can't accurately measure relative performance between Reason versions with it,...

If I enable hyper-threading I can play zero seconds. Seems that there is problem how reason handles multicore. Especially with vs...
