making the best bass
Well, I'm asking do you guys find one oscillator is best? 2? How much positive/negative cents difference with 2 oscillators? How do you guys contain it strong to the bottom end? Where do you LP? I know these are vague questions and every song is different but I've found there are usual settings as ...

Question: Detecting Tempo
Is there a known method of detecting the tempo of a song project using stock devices or hardware? What I would like to do is apply a slight amount of pitchbend depending on the tempo speed of the song project. Any ideas how this could be done? Maybe through midi or remote overrides?

Question: Merging Audio Clips
To be honest, I have never really understood what makes something qualify as used or unused. Bouncing things is a bit of a head scratcher for me at times.

stroke of genius
Blue colors in the layout was a genius move. I think a large part of the more positive vibe in here has something to do with that. Hospitals are often blue inside to calm people down. Kudos to whoever made that decision

Ernst's Official Announcement regarding the end of PUF
I was displeased at the decision of PUF closure, but this is a far better venue. You can just feel it. We can do it for us, by us, and do it better than the PUF. I'm glad it happened, regardless of what Ernst's reasoning might have been.

Question: Merging Audio Clips
In the past I have used the normalize option to clean up merged audio clips so that they actually become one long clip instead of being treated as one in the sequencer, but this changes the levels in the clips. Is bounce to new recording a better method for retaining original levels while also clean...

Incremental Saves
I often do incremental saves on my projects and it would be nice to be able to turn on an incremental save mode when I need it.

Proactive?
I have an idea, although I am completely ignorant of any legal issues that may stem from doing this. Since our ability to request features was taken away at the PUF, we may find it even harder to have our voices heard here. It's practically a given at this point. Why not take the DIY homebrew mental...

See? There's clearly a market for this information
I have been planning on writing up a bunch of tutorials for a while but this fresh start seems like the time to do it. I'll put them up when they're ready.

I'm not sure how to differentiate between CV stuff and "normal" Reason routing... This is a good point, let me chime in with my thoughts. To me, CV relates to situations where you want to create responsive patches or combinator based modular systems that function in both an automated way and with m...

Pretty Please: subforum/section request
Hello everyone, I would like to humbly request a forum section specifically devoted to CV. The topics "Patching", "Device Routing", and "Modular Design" are nearly synonymous, but a name that contains "CV" is preferable since it can be found on many of the ports throughout Reason. Perhaps a hybrid a...
