Just a tiny update.
I finally got the audio warp engine debugged (tentatively) so I will be working on a demo of that next before fleshing out the docs. I've been wanting to use it ever since I broke it.
10 octaves of signal mangling pitch warp incoming soon.

Re: DataBridge - GitHub repo is up
Maybe some example setups using the free Hamu plugins? I was barely around before he passed away but I get the sense from his devices that he would be thrilled by this project if he were still with us. My reasoning is that a lot of his work supplies plenty of knobs and particularly ModPanel is a ve...

Re: DataBridge - GitHub repo is up
I never really understood it but it seems you are well on your way. If it can help us with live sessions that will be fantastic. Song Position and Loop left/right can be manipulated with this, plus there's support for 2 deck setups and scenes/pages for controllerists. I tried to think of everything.

Re: DataBridge - GitHub repo is up
Disclaimer Time I need to mention these before we get too deep into this. 1. Undo becomes broken when using this system Reason sees all of the adjustments being made as user events, so Undo is essentially worthless when it's running. 2. Reason will not save your custom parameters Sadly you will nee...

Re: DataBridge - GitHub repo is up
This is a system of virtual remote mapping that allows you to "hijack" the remote message going out (remote is 2 way communication) and connect this to another parameter on another device via remote override. Better Explanation That is basically what's happening, but slightly different than the way...

Please Reinstate io File System Package for Lua
The io file system package for Lua. It's good.
Control surface files that contain thousands of lines. They're not so good.
I would like to modularize my surfaces into manageable projects using file loads through io.open(). That would be great.
Thank you.

Re: DataBridge - GitHub repo is up
The project is back in active development, starting with debugging of the interpolated recording method. For some reason there is a latching issue when editing or manipulating tempo speeds and I think the main cause for this is having more than one source of truth for how that implementation was ach...

Advanced MIDI Thread - (DataBridge Release)
EDIT: For those unfamiliar, the DataBridge project is a control surface design that allows for direct device-to-device auto-modulation and distributed mass control of the rack using minimal hardware. It was designed to add functionality to Reason that didn't exist at the time, as well as make creati...

Re: The DAW update challenge!?
Hey Raveshaper, thanks for the valuable information you shared in this post. I haven't been on here very long to get to know your history as a Reason user/modder but what really impressed me was the gif of when you created multi fader control possible. Im getting ready to hit the hay, but I will ch...

Re: The DAW update challenge!?
I have been one of the most uncompromisingly critical people against Reason on this board, so I'm no stranger to this general topic. Hell, I left because I was fed up. I mostly write code these days and don't have time for music. Now that I have substantially greater knowledge of Software Engineerin...

Are You Serious?!
When I draw points by dragging the pencil tool, they all show up as expected on the snap resolution I have set. When I let go of the mouse button, it only gives me the last point and erases the rest?! I have to click each and every single one or disable a nonintuitive "clean up automation" option to...

Unlock Direct Communication Between Devices
Reason already has the ability to leapfrog messages from device to device, creating signal chains of parameter control instead of CV or MIDI. Simply expand on what Remote already makes possible by placing it into the app itself, as follows: Give each device a right click option called "Enable Networ...

Add Eurorack Combinator Variant
Add a new variation to the combinator that provides configurable rectangular zones. By selecting controls on devices contained in the new object, each control becomes available as a cropped region of the contained device's front panel, transforming them into widgets that can be repositioned to taste...

Upgrade Block Mode To Be A Player Device
Give Block mode its own companion rack device that allows each saved block to be selectable via an automatable parameter. Also give Block mode's rack device the ability to be triggered from the sequencer with mappable control over internal playhead position at trigger start. Block mode would remain ...

Automation Pinning / Drag All In Signal Path
This is either a two for one or two separate ideas that are similar. Allow users to pin or unpin automation based on associated MIDI clips or samples to eliminate the need to draw boxes around multiple clips. This would allow users to drag both items automatically when dragging one of the clips. It ...

Convert Automation to Floating Point Math (Universal Drag and Drop)
Please make automation curves function internally as unit interval (0, 1) floating point math, such that the curve drawn is interpreted as nearest values within the available parameter values on the current track. This would allow the curve to be calculated/re-calculated to the nearest values on the...

I sent yesterday this thread link to Mattias via Twitter for asking comments, surprisingly no answer :eh: If I need to wait 5 years single midichase or automatically returning playing cursor, that is goodbye for sure. Some people have been waiting a lot longer than 5 years for a lot of things. Thin...

Re: Reason and Midicontroller Parametre jump
Even with endless rotary encoders on your controller, the codec needs either a soft pickup for ranged knobs (pots) or a relative adjustment for endless encoders coded into it specifically for these features to be available.

Re: Where Is Reason Headed?
Back to reality from that cloud based stuff i did earlier, the main challenge here is that the market simply changes too fast for a slow development cycle. Having allowed the gulf to widen between what they have kept on doing and what others are now doing doesn't help matters. Yes other companies ha...

Re: Midi Edit Mode Location
Centering is based on play head position last I looked. Try moving your play head to the midpoint of the clip to correct this. Not the most elegant, I know. Also last I looked the edit mode had its own horizontal position different from the standard arrange view, meaning the suggestion above wouldn'...

Re: Where Is Reason Headed?
My prediction is that Reason will go entirely cloud based as a web app you can access from anywhere there is an internet connection. DSP in Reason could become the most powerful of any host due to entirely offloaded cpu in the cloud. Collaboration will be possible in real time within the same sessio...

Re: why does this site always lock interesting posts?
Can we get a new free device called the Phasys Twin? It would just periodically play a sample of a British guy saying "sounds like bullocks, mate", "shite, you're a real broke bloke idnya", or "get a real DAW, ya tosser". Also hi dude, it was real but there are meds for that now. I speak from experi...
