OK. I have iMac 27 i7 with fusion drive (those good old times, when fusion drive was based on 128 GB) since 2012. Never had any problem. I totally don't know where files go, it just works As I remember, applications always go to SSD drive.

I purchased Rig and frankly saying, always considered Bitspeek and Sugarbyte RE as shittiest part of the synth rig. Never ever found it useful.

How about stick yor external drive to main drive as one fusion drive?

I have Reason 9. When I upgrade to Reason 11 Suite, will I have to keep suite versions or is it possible to update to regular Reason 12?

Does it have rewire? Studio One works with Reason very well.

I would wait for half-price sale on full Komplete. I did so few years ago with Komplete 5. Now I'm on Komplete 11 Ultimate

1. I don't understand weird Rigs policy: that shuffling REs between Rigs 2, 3 and 4. Why it couldn't be just upgrade, with all previous RE included?
2. I would like to upgrade to Synth Rig 4, but it's not compatible with Reason 9. It says to upgrade whole Reason first. Really?

The UI is still extremely sluggish on my Macbook Pro. Might even be worse than before the update. Is anyone else seeing this? We've found two things that can help here. Running Reason in Low-Res mode (right-click Reason app, get info, tick the box) and a weird connection to color profiles in macOS....

Mine P4 had a midi leakage just before became doorstep. Midi leakage - I mean there was no separation between midi channels 1-3. There were also many weird actions (like screen artefacts).

Kontact's bundled content probably isn't going to get you to where you want to be. If you're going to pick up Kontact, I'd suggest instead picking up a copy of Komplete used (you can get it on KVR) instead of Kontact by itself. +1 Reason sample libraries are outdated and nasty. Kontakt is top notch...

Not only. Battery has better FX and you can assign midi notes to cells as you wish.

I assume you already have set "Graphics card switching" to disabled? If that's on, as it is by default, it'll kill your performance. This Macbook has single GPU. It cracks like hell without hitting CPU more than 2-3 bars. Ableton Live 8 and Presonus Studio One 3 Pro flies like arrow on this machine...

Totally different: Reason "bounce in place" works like rendering track and puting it back to project just as rendered wav, without ability to edit your instrument or efect. You just got huge audio sample. In other DAWs freezing preserves whole track with midi, instruments, effects, automations etc....

To reduce CPU overhead in Reason, I very often use "bounce in place" and then disable the related plugins. This definitely helps to reduce CPU load. How is this different than a "freeze" (I've never used freeze in another DAW)? Totally different: Reason "bounce in place" works like rendering track ...

I don't need another EQ - but this free plugin includes Maximizer, which is very similar to Maximizer Rack Extensions (49 euro)

Ouch, looks like they finally stopped updating 9.x. I guess I won't be upgrading to Mojave until Reason 11, then.

I understand lack of updates, but it's a bit shocking that 64bit Reason will not run under Mojave (it's just one step from High Sierra).

The following products are NOT compatible with macOS Mojave:
Reason 9.5.4 and earlier
Reason Essentials 10 and earlier
Reason Limited 1.5.3 and earlier

What is wrong with Reason 9.5 ?
