Live 11.2.6 doesn't recognize RRP

Odd even after doing a rescan. It shows up in other DAWs with no problems. I don't really plan on using it in other DAWs anyway.

Anyone else have the same experience.

Re: Will we ever see Reason ported to Linux - or would their CodeMeter Authentication software prevent this?

With MS and Apple having their (d)evolving OS that takes up a lot of their time. Image Line got out of the plugin business because they didn't want to waste their time dealing with plugins instead of their DAW. Linux is a dead end and few can't accept it. 2 retailers tried to sell a Linux PC and did...

Re: iZotope - Discontinuing Products

Not surprised they are dropping Iris and Break Tweaker but I am surprised about Trash 2. I guess there are many, many competing distortions plugins these days and iZotope seem to be heading down the evil road to "subscribe to our entire suite" type offerings. So many releases of competing software ...

I think it's fine for dance genres where the quality of sound isn't of extreme importance. I have plenty of pianos and now I go for the ones that load quickly.

Great stuff in there!
I have Reason Studio and since it is overwhelming and would take a lifetime to learn some of them I have to resort to being a preset pusher.

To put this into perspective, $20 was about a week of groceries to me, only a few years back. :o :? To put this further into perspective, $20 hasn't been a week's worth of groceries in the US for most people since the 1970's. I mean, unless you're super fond of living off of instant-Ramen. ...

Re: so truthfully what’s going on Reason Studios

Music, on the other hand, is one of the most expensive hobbies. Maybe the most expensive of all for the average person. Music can be an expensive hobby, if you think you need expensive stuff. I've used only free plugins together with a Reaper license that cost me about 50 euros back then (and it st...

Re: POLL: Summer Sale 2022 - How much did you spend?

It hard to guy anything in this economy. I use to jump on PA stuff and foolishly go for Waves. Developers are starting to figure out less stuff is being sold and need those once in a lifetime sales. Maybe users have come to realize they have more stuff than they ever use.

Bitwig - I can understand that 7. energyXT - ?? huh ?? 8. Studio One Professional 9. Reason 10. Maschine ... 19. Pro T...

I would advice against symlinking the whole AppData folder, but you can use this guide to create a symlink for the big RE folder under AppData: https://www.howtogeek.com/howto/16226/complete-guide-to-symbolic-links-symlinks-on-windows-or-linux/ I don't want to mess with this. I'm thinking of it from the angle of being a musician. if someone wants to make music, there is no excuse not to, period. and you seem to have ignored both the part where I pointed out there are tons of great free VSTs out there, and the part where I suggest if you don't like what it has to offer, ...

this is absurd. we’re musicians. it’s literally our job to create the content. I feel sorry for anyone who thinks they need a huge suite of digital instruments before we can work. Re: Reason Financials 2021

] The beauty of Reaper is that it is a just a DAW. That attracts many. It only takes up 14mb of space. Reason bloats your OS drive because they haven't figured out how to make it easier for the user to put their other content on a different drive. Such beauty has 0 content, no instrumenta, odd effe...

Re: Reason Financials 2021

Reason doesn't have to be a "niche" program if RS finally understands that musicians don't buy a program for the amount of included devices, but for easy of use and features. Ableton doesn't have a ton of synths and samplers, neither does Logic, Reaper or Cubase. There is the opposite side to this ...

- For experienced users who've passed over Reason through version 11, why should they try Reason 12? - For users brand new to music production, why should they try Reason 12? I'm jealous of this young lady because of here knowledge at that age. I was studying music in college in the 80's when DAWs didn't exist. I look back at a time when I had more time to devote myself. Re: Reason or Ableton

Live is one of those everything in the GUI DAWs. So much for multiple monitors. Their audio to midi conversion is good. I've tested it along with Melodyne, both give different results and in some cases I liked Live's. Reason + vs. Live Suite, once you are in the door of having Live Suite, the upgrad...

Re: Gotta love Reason's back compat.

Because Reason was a proprietary DAW. Usually 3rd party plugins is what causes old projects to fail. Anything I made in Reason 4 will open up unless I used NNXT and moved refills to another directory. My Oxygen8 v1 is still recognized in Reason. That's midi. Duh. No it's not just midi. It's hardwar...

No doubt the introduction of Record with the audio recording, and the SSL mixer among other things, was a momentous step up for Reason (imo). But if I can be slightly controversial for a moment .. I'm not sure why some think this really stands out. I can still load old projects in Bandlab that were made in Sonar 2 and Gigastudio. I'm not sure why some think this really stands out. I can still load old projects in Bandlab that were made in Sonar 2 and Gigastudio. I guess you'd have to go back to the mid-late 00s. Reason was very unique in backwards compatibility These were projects made in 2002. This is nothing unique. Where...
