Or you could use two instances of any other compressor and put one on the left and one on the right channel, right?
If needed one could also link up the controls of both via combinator for ease of use.

Re: Does RS add new patches to their instruments / FX?
From time to time they've reorganised and extended the factory sound bank. So yes about once or twice a decade this might happen.

Too little internal storage might be a bummer if you've got many big REs. That's because those still cannot be moved from the OS drive to another drive on macs.

Re: No hardware audio
Hello, I just installed the software. Have no idea if this a hardware issue or operator headspace...lol The software is producing audio according to the meters, but I hear either nothing or feedback, depending on the monitor setting. My headphone jack is not working on this laptop, so could that be...

Usually you'd need at least the same version of Reason or a later/newer one.

For audio clips you can disable stretch. for MIDI it might work to copy the clip from one Project to another one with the changed BPM.

See I don't see it like that, they're telling you what you're knowing - even the email is more about what reason is rather than answering the question 'whats going on' Which I think was a polite 'I get your message but nah' That "email" sounds pretty much like what ChatGPT or alike would tell you w...

Well, then back to speculating: Reworking lost of the legacy devices would be a really surprising move, but that might just make it a very nice and even possible guess what could come in R13.

Re: How to create Unison effect in Thor using analog oscillators
Have a look at the combinator programmer: Thor should not receive the midi notes. Also have a look at the oscillator modules of Thor. As you can see I removed those as one would not want to have Thor generate any sound by itself.

Re: new to combinators - a few questions
I think you confusion stems from not knowing/realising the difference between CV and automation in Reason. This tutorial is a good read: https://www.reasonexperts.com/control-voltage-in-reason.html In short: the controls move when being automated , while CV modulating a parameter does not move the c...

Re: How to create Unison effect in Thor using analog oscillators
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EW_Ppl3mIp8 explains how to do the basic routing for using Thor as an FX device. Now instead of routing to filter3 input you simply route to audio output 1/2 and use audio input 3/4 as source for scale (in the third column of the mod matrix). Don't forget to increase ...

Re: How to create Unison effect in Thor using analog oscillators
A simple patch in Thor using the mod matrix to route audio input 1 to audio output 1 scaled by audio input 2 should do the trick to do AM.
In general Thor can do most math operations using the mod matrices.

The fad aspect is people being excited by it. Of course every cheap ass marketing company is going to use this stuff forever more rather than pay an illustrator. And of course it will get ‘better’ but I wager it will always look a bit shit and people will more and more seek out images created by hu...

The Idea behind this is most likely to set an alternative colour in case the default automation marker colour clashes with the background graphic of your RE.

Re: Assuming there's going be one, what you think is coming in Reason 13?
Given that there's been no update of the roadmap it might be that currently there's no big shiny feature in development which could be shared, but instead they could actually be working on modernising/porting the existing devices to (a possibly) updated version of the RE SDK. And if they do they mig...

Re: Almost all my songs are audibly clipping, what am I missing?
How does one learn what the different reason metering types are and how to read them and their practical usage? Personally I've never looked at the numbers and never switched to a different type than the default. What is the purpose of different meters in the first place, is there one you can use f...

Re: Almost all my songs are audibly clipping, what am I missing?
As soon as the audio is passed from Reason to the driver of the audio interface it has to be converted into (24bit) fixed point sample data. That's the point where going higher than 0 dBFS causes the clipping.
