I've just extracted a 250gb SSD from my an old computer - too small for too much usage but I did wonder whether I could set it up exclusively for Reason's scratch disk.

If one is into gaming a 1TB drive is almost necessary.

I used to use a SSD for the OS, applications, and commonly used instruments/Refills, and a hard drive for pretty much everything else. I’ve no issues with Window 11, but it required an update of the bios of the motherboard before my PC with i11900 processor was supported by Windows 11. A security feature must be enabled in the bios before it works and it is not as standard on Asus motherboards.

If you plan to use Kontakt libraries that aren’t supported by the the free Kontakt player, then yes. It’s also a pretty powerful sampler if your into that. Otherwise I agree you get more value out of it included in Komplete.

That's the part most people miss.

The bundled library is underrated.

I have plenty of copies of Live Lite. If you want to try RRP in DAWs, Cakewalk and Tracktion are free with no limits. There's also in a previous issue you can get Bitwig 8 track for free.
