Re: What are you watching at the moment? (possible spoilers)

I really liked Dark, slow burning timey wimey weirdness is right up my alley. Plus it has that great Fever Ray song which was apparently recorded in Reason! But it's not for everyone for sure. Its like asking a guns & roses fan to listen to selected ambient works 2. Neither of them are objectively ...

Re: What are you watching at the moment? (possible spoilers)

Watching DARK. It is so critically acclaimed and highly rated, and I am up to episode 5 now and I am still bored to tears. I can only hope things improve in Season 2 or towards the end of season 1. Sounds like my experience with Strangers Things S2 and S3. S4 was pretty awesome though. I enjoyed ST...

Re: Having a ball with reason 12 - workarounds for a couple things?

Should add that Live 12 just added latency correction in recording. Haven’t managed to try it yet myself despite owning a license but just haven’t had time. Yes but it's still visually broken in Live 12 unfortunately. The more latent plugins you add, the more the playhead cursor is out of time with...

Re: i say goodby to you! Thank you!

Dear forum members, after all these years I would like to say goodbye to you, because unfortunately I can no longer pursue my beloved music due to a treacherous illness! I have been using reason since version 1.0 and I still think that Reason is one of the best software on the market. Unfortunately...

Re: Having a ball with reason 12 - workarounds for a couple things?

As for the built in delay compensation in Reason this part of the manual might also give an idea what's happening there: http://docs.propellerheads.se/reason12/wwhelp/wwhimpl/js/html/wwhelp.htm#href=PDC.18.2.html Some very noticeable visual lag might even be an case where contacting support could b...

Re: Having a ball with reason 12 - workarounds for a couple things?

You could try to turn off "Render audio using audio card buffer size setting" and see if it changes the visual delay. Also have a look at these pages: http://docs.propellerheads.se/reason12/wwhelp/wwhimpl/js/html/wwhelp.htm#href=Audio%20basics.04.4.html http://docs.propellerheads.se/reason12/wwhelp...

Re: Having a ball with reason 12 - workarounds for a couple things?

ya love to hear it You mean if there's a workaround you'd like to know it also? Ableton live does it which stopped me from using it as my main DAW as I actually LOVE ableton for the composition process and always have. However Ableton's automation is still in time audibly speaking, even with latent...

Having a ball with reason 12 - workarounds for a couple things?

Hi, I have not bought it, I received 6 months free of reason plus with the purchase of my M-Audio 192/6, and activated it 2 days ago. Wow Reason has come a long way. If I was ever to continue using it after sub expires, I will do a month here and there where needed, and I personally think the sub mo...

Sincere apology to all

Hello fellow musicians. This apology has been a (very) long time coming. Over the past couple weeks, I have sent personal apologies to everybody that should get one, including reason studios and a couple devs. Unfortunately, I have been unable to send one to U-HE, to whom I really, *really* owe an a...

Re: Reason 11.2 and Logic Pro X

The way to do that is with mainstage. I use alchemy that way in pro tools. Sorry to go OT but it might be helpful to you. Oh, never thought of that. I do have Mainstage, so it can be used as a plugin, I must check that out. Thanks! No but it accepts midi in. It's a standalone. Set your buffer to 64...

Kind of expected LPX to have a proper midi input. Wish I could use Logics instruments and effects inside Reason rather than the other way around.

Re: Reason 11.2 and Logic Pro X

It's not that big a deal. In my opinion the Reason Rack plus Logic is a near perfect combination. good to know and sorry I couldn't help but it really is a logic issue.. people have been screaming for midi input selection per track for about 20 years  It's really weird apple refuse to do it.

Re: Reason 11.2 and Logic Pro X

Thanks Hurricane I appreciate your quick response. I've already been using MidiFX Freeze for the Logic Chord trigger. I was hoping that 11.2 Scales and Chords would eliminate the need for it. Seems the 11.2 Midi In/out device is not as functional in Logic X as it is in other DAWS. I wish they'd pub...

Re: When Will Reason 11.X AAX be available?

Only intro for the AAX, intro includes DR Rex. Right, forgot about Intro. It was on sale for just $49 USD over the holidays. If AAX support occurs, might be worth holding out for a holiday sale. So much has changed since I was around.. VST support? WTF? I would have literally put money on it that p...

PS the one thing I miss about Reason most is Dr Octorex,, although PT does have real time auditioning of both standard wav and tiff files, as well as acidified wavs and apple loops and even rex files, all to tempo in time with the project  I don't even have to rewire Live as a slave anymor...

Hi Enoch, Happy 2020 to you. I am just curious, how could props possibly know what DAWs people have been rewiring reason into mostly over all these years? Re: When Will Reason 11.X AAX be available?

Global percentage totals aren't that useful of a metric considering how tiny and specialized audio/music production is in the grand scheme of things. Windows install numbers are heavily padded out by business environments and mainstream general purpose computer users. If we restrict our view to con...

Re: Anyone using an i9-7980XE CPU? Im having issues

You should be able to make use of the unused hyperthreaded virtual cores to get more out of your BEAST of a machine (which makes my imac pro look like a toy LOL) by using vienna ensemble pro.. that *should* be able to tap into all the virtual threads ... if a DAW makes use of hyperthreading, you ca...

Have you tried with hyper threading off? You can find the option in the Audio settings. Also, what are the sample rate / latency values ? hyper tre.JPG you are a god. I built this rig cost over 7K just for audio and I couldn't use FN reason and this fixed it for me. YOU ARE A GOD. I disabled Hypert...

Re: How to run loads more VSTs without buying a new CPU

well there you go.. My Logic was that it would be using process space outside of Reason itself.. VE Pro though, *should* be a solution for better performance of VST instruments, and just use your FX in reason over the return channel of the VE Pro audio. People swear by that thing and say using it on...

Re: Best iMac Pro configuration for heavy Reason 10 use?

Hope it's ok to revive this.. I am not a reason user for three years now, but I have been searching audio boards for imac pro topics and this one came up... My main DAW(s) are Pro Tools (for predominantly audio based projects) and Cubase 9 (for fresh compositions). I haven't had a new computer in 7 ...
