Re: Subtractor can do wicked synth bass, and.......
If you master post processing like saturation, distortion, compression, EQ, delay, reverb, as a base and add many other effects, you can make most synth sound pretty good, like with bass, adding a bass exciter does help a lot. Like you said, these synths with minor modern add-ons like spread and un...

Re: Wav to RX2
Hi guys, I’m having trouble and could use some guidance. Using v12, latest update. Theres this 160bpm loop i want to change to 144. No matter what I tried, it just doesnt sound the same as the 160 loop. Artifacts, this particilur timestretch sound from 90s dnb era, and pitch variations. All the thi...

Re: Subtractor can do wicked synth bass, and.......
The main reason I created this topic is that the subtractor uses 0 cpu, hence you can go nuts and stack 20 of them and be fine on a modest PC. When I say 0, I mean 0 (like 0.01%). With Reason 12's rack device cpu load display features, even playing super long release pads and setting subtractor's p...

Re: Spring Break Sale
However is there any RE that can help with auto creation of rhythms where I can use any drum instrument with it? Did you try BeatMap, it's stock in Reason. Other options: - https://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/rack-extension/dr4-quad-drum-trigger/ - https://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/rack-extension/e...

Re: Spring Break Sale
I said previously the legend might not be worth the 110 Euro with its limited polyphony but I am using the demo and it's outstanding. I just want to correct what I previously said as it's definitely worth it for those who have the cash to spend. BTW it currently seems to be 99 USD, so I don't know i...

Re: Spring Break Sale
Hmmmm... I am currently watching my cash as coming back to music after 5 years and having a whole bunch of plugins needing paid updates to work on native Apple silicon has kind of killed my wallet. However is there any RE that can help with auto creation of rhythms where I can use any drum instrumen...

Re: i say goodby to you! Thank you!
Bossa passed away Sunday, March 24th at 01:30 pm. I had the privilege of meeting with him every Wednesday evening for the past six months. We talked about music mainly and life and the end of life in general. He was my friend for almost 30 years. What a great guy and musician! ALS is a hard enemy. ...

Subtractor can do wicked synth bass, and.......
So.... I have been playing around all day with the synth that started it all, subtractor. I understand that it is known for certain shortcomings and is over 20 years old, but I have been studying synth sound design lately and that's a really easy synth to learn on. What surprised me is that it can s...

There's also quite a bit of wet verb there for sure. I am wondering if they actually used a room verb in 100% wet mode.

Re: What do you think re control room in Reason?
BTW, sorry to bump, but just to clarify, as in another topic I said I got 6 free months of Reason plus with an M-Audio 192/6 interface but in this post talked about my Arturia minifuse, no, I do not have both interfaces, I actually recently returned the 192 to Amazon as I was very unhappy with the o...

Re: What do you think re control room in Reason?
I have console output to output 1/2, as that is where Reason renders its output. I have CR-out patched through my monitor correction software, and into output 3/4 of my audio interface which is connected to my monitors. That way, it prevents me from rendering a song out through the monitor correcti...

Re: What do you think re control room in Reason?
Right, so regardless of the destination, my train of thought is correct in that CR out follows the analog mixer paradigm in that is controls audible level to the listener, nothing to do with mix level, which is controlled by master fader.

Re: EnochLight needs your help: missing loop
Ok so not the intro loop but the first one when the music starts? Intro one would have been easy with some mod FX, EQ No, I have that loop (it's from the Reason FSB). I mean the main song loop that starts at 5-7 seconds in. Thanks, though! I'm actually having rather good luck with the stems I proce...

Re: EnochLight needs your help: missing loop
I can probably create that loop for you using redrum and get it pretty close. The loop right at the start yes? Yeah, it's the main drum loop throughout the verses (not the loud droning "chorus" - I have that drum loop - it's called "Chm22_Compress_135_eLAB.rx2"). You're welcome to give it a shot - ...

What do you think re control room in Reason?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avntmcifAg4 That's the video. I honestly thought it would confuse noobs to the software and tried to explain in a post that the control room is simply the monitoring level to your speakers and mix is the mix level and no one is using reason wrong, as the manual is lik...

You know I was thinking.. I can probably create that loop for you using redrum and get it pretty close. The loop right at the start yes? Re: What are you watching at the moment? (possible spoilers)
I'm onto the 3 body problem and I guessed it in episode 1 but I still am really enjoying it so far, about a 7/10 Worth a watch if you're into Sci-Fi, and is only 8 episodes so can be gotten through reasonably quickly in spare time. I am kind of glad the days of 23 episode seasons are all but gone. B...

Re: Do I need The Legend?
It's very expensive, but it IS a nice VA. I have a lot of time and respect for Rich of Synapse Audio, he is talented, and has always been a gentleman to say the least. But I don't think the Legend is worth 109 Euros. Do you use any other platform, ever? If so, maybe look at the VST which there is of...

Wow, stem separation, best of luck! I don't have the answer for the question, but I am really excited by the topic as the very idea of stem separation to maybe salvage and be able to re do some of my favourite songs that I too lost 20 years back but have stereo mixes of. I hope it's on topic to ask...

Re: Access Virus is discontinued
There's plenty of plugin in editors on Mac AND PC if the official one stops working on the latter (Mac support ended years ago) as long as one is willing to use the analog outs of the virus rather than rely on the sample accurate USB integration. It is what it is. They are starting to really creep u...
