Re: Song Self-Contained Settings
Hello everyone, This post is my first post in ReasonTalk and I am studying Music Production using Propellerhead Reason 10.4. But, I am facing a big problem with Reason. The problem is when I finished making a song and upload it to let the instructor's page to see it, the instructor was telling me h...

Set Reason to use the native Windows driver, not the ASIO one. OBS can't capture from ASIO.Robtherich wrote: ↑13 Jun 2019How did you get OBS to record sound from Reason - I'm using a Focasrite Sound interface and, even though I direct OBS audio to it, it just not 'seeing' it. Are there settings in Reason that I need to set.

Re: Why is it people that dont use Reason always refer to the "sound drivers"
If they say "driver" just ignore them, they don't know what they're talking about. If they say "engine", that might be more accurate, but still likely they've never actually listened to Reason, and are just repeating something they heard a long time ago. But Reason doesn't have a "sound". Maybe the ...

Re: FAQ: VST in Reason
I see more and more great vst plug ins that I would like to use. Many are not supporting vst2. So, here I am, stuck in Reason, and I've not seen anything to indicate that vst3 support is on the fairly near horizon. Are you saying that many vst plugins are now VST3 only? That's news to me. They all ...

Re: Izotope releases Neutron 3
In case you guys don't know, you can use the inputs in the back of the instance and use the external source on the device (EQ, compressor, neutron) for sidechain. I've not tried using relay (neutron 3 uses relay, actually, I don't think it comes with mix tap. I have mix tap and it works but I'm goi...

Re: Fingerpicking Nylon - A-List Guitarist in the shop
The selected style phrase always resets to default when loading a saved project with this instrument in the rack. Overall a great device but this issue is a pain. Please consider a fix Propellerhead. Even when you put the according note into the sequencer? I don't think this is a bug, just perhaps ...

Re: respire device error?
If one track is causing a fault, and others are not, have a look at what you're doing on that track. Are you automating controls, or anything very different? If it's not automated, it may be just that some setting in the patch is the issue. Regardless it's definitely a bug in the RE, because it shou...

Are you guys side-chaining from within Neutron 3? The issue stemmed from version 1 and persisted in version 2. Honestly, I hadn't tried for quite some time now since I couldn't get it to work. Re: Izotope releases Neutron 3
Great; thanks! All I know is that sidechaining in 2.0 is flat out broken in Reason. iZotope knows this, knew it then, and still did nothing to fix it. I checked 3.0, and side chaining works. But then I thought, I had used it in 2.0 too, and double checked. It works there too. Can you give more spec...

Re: "Browser" window forgets the sizing every time I open Reason
Save your own template with your favorite settings and load it at startup. I believe everything is saved on a per-file basis, which is good IMHO Its a step backwards. That was never the case in previous versions. It's always been the case. What you might have had with a previous version is that it ...

Re: Izotope releases Neutron 3
Getting Neutron 3 Advanced (as part of Music Production Suite 2.1) for $99 to upgrade from Post Production Suite 3, isn't too bad. But yes, that upgrade path is definitely confusing. 99 for the advanced version? Yes, the Music Production Suite includes the advanced versions of Ozone and Neutron. If...

Re: Propellerhead’s Europa synth is coming to the Soundation online DAW
The DAW is running in the browser, not on the server. Audio is recorded/rendered locally, so the ISP will have nothing to do with it.stratatonic wrote: ↑06 Jun 2019Well, I had asked about latency for recording audio... Who knows? A lot would depend on your connection and ISP and sound card.

Re: Izotope releases Neutron 3
you will get Relay and Visual Mixer for FREE, even after the N3 demo is over. The panning of Relay (which can be controlled by Visual Mixer), seems to place sounds better left to right than the pan pot in the Reason mixer (even trying to narrow the width the right amount to match the panning). That...

Re: Reason10.3 timing
Wait are all CV signals effected by the buffer size or is it just CV signals sent to VST's? 64 is super low and my computer is way to slow to produce a whole song in 64. I've had conflicting answers to this. But I believe there's one CV value change per audio batch, with the render audio using audi...

Re: Polyverse's GateKeeper $29
I think it has higher precision than REs (although I wonder if 10.3 changes regarding CV timing won't affect that) going down to 1/128 and - allegedly - up to 20h on the other end. Let's see: At 120 bpm, there are 2 beats a second, so 1/128 would be 1/256th of a second, or 3.90 ms. At a 44,100 Hz s...

This bugs me too. I did suggest a while back that they could restrict dragging to certain areas of a Device - such at the brackets which 'hold' the device in the rack? I thought of that suggestion but did not remember who brought it up. I concur with that idea. That's how Reason worked back in like...

Re: Workflow question about making a track's size smaller
As I understand it, save and optimise should only be done when you are finished with your song? At least that's what I read some place. Save and optimize is a bit like a defragment. Reason in order to speed up saving, mostly appends new device settings and stuff to the end of a file, and leaves hol...

Definitely, if you want to check with other people, to see if you actually have found a bug, or are just doing something wrong, this Reason forum is a great place for it. Again, would you rather that bug reports be something that someone may see, if they show up, or something that gets logged into their bug tracking software? If people think that reporting a bug here is enough, then they might not report it through the proper channels. A forum is not a good place for...

Yes, Reason has always been able to do this from version 1. Thor makes the CV to Audio conversion easy. How can I sell machines loaded with reason when they can’t reactivate once bought? Who’s going to buy a piece of software they can’t reinstall if the license is reported as lost?
