Yeh I was reading some of the obits and I was like, dude was profoundly unsentimental. Should just read, made some great records, publicly recanted the appalling shit talking he'd done earlier in his life, and died with his boots on.

Oh, that sucks. Sorry to hear he passed. Steve was awesome.

I never met him, but I knew guys like him around Nashville. From what I knew, he just did his gig, knew his shit inside and out, and shared his knowledge gained over the years.
Because of that he will leave a hole in his world, which is IMO one of the best compliments you can ever receive in life.
