Reason/Eurorack Integration with Apollo X4

Want to talk about music hardware or software that doesn't include Reason?

Apologies if this topic has been covered. I did some basic searches and didn't find an answer.

I'm trying to use the line outputs on a UA Apollo X4 to send CV and/or clock signals to my Eurorack system. I was able to route the audio in Digital Performer with the Reason Rack as a plugin, but I'd also like work directly in Reason+. FWIW, I'm aware of flipping the rack and manually routing signals to additional outputs and I had no difficulties with this sort of thing back when we used Rewire. I would do all of my Reason sequencing and submixing in the app and then send it to another DAW for additional recording and/or mixing. I'm not as familiar with the UAD Console software, so perhaps that's where my problem is.

Anyway, thanks in advance for any assistance.

You probably need something like this: https://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/bundle/cv-io-bundle/

Currently, on sale for half price as well :puf_wink:
-------
Analog tape ⇒ ESQ1 sequencer board ⇒ Atari/Steinberg Pro24 ⇒ Atari/Cubase ⇒ Cakewalk Sonar ⇒ Orion Pro/Platinum ⇒ Reaper ⇒ Reason DAW.

You shouldn't need to use Console for this, as you are routing directly to the hardware outputs from Reason. Console is more important dealing with inputs…

As for audio to CV, CV over audio is only necessary for high bandwidth modulation (audio rate, etc). For basic clock/note/gate I'm very happy with the built in converters in my Novation SL mkIII, which has two channels of CV/Gate/Mod plus clock over USB. If you want something really simple, look at the $80 Behringer MIDI/USB to CV convertor: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail ... lsrc=aw.ds
