How about ppl doing covers of other artists in Discover? I have found a few covers and wonder about copyright, because none seem to even write that they play a cover of somebody elses work. This I hope Prop will be clearer to point out to users. I cannot have control over all the pieces that is a cover or not, when wanting to contribute.

Hey Kev, I appreciate your points, but I was responding to Zac about how Zac might be seeing Discover.  I'm not positive, but I don't think Zac is waiting at the shopping mall for his mum to pick him up in the suv and has a new song idea in his head and an iPhone stuck on his ear.  What I'm raising is the ways that Zac and other forum members might use Discover, as I am seeing for myself.  I think it's good to look at using it beyond Ernst's vision, especially as a marketing snare, because we already bought Reason.  Although I agree with you that one has to remember how Ernst is hoping it pans out.  There is serious competition out there for musicians with iPhones (GarageBand, Korg Gadget, IKMultimedia, etc), so I wish him luck.

I wasn't trying to address anything you said specifically in my previous post. But I am now: do you believe the vast majority of iPhone users who want to make music are:

1. Under 21?
2. Unable to drive themselves to the mall?
3. Waiting for rides home from mom?

All joking aside, we know what all the criticism is really about: if Propellerhead wants to allocate resources to app development, it should be to create Reason for mobile devices and nothing else.

Yes, left home at 18, now 43 and no iPhone. Have these emails highlighted guitar based stuff yet? I haven't really been able to produce a full guitar song that I'm fully happy with yet, maybe 'All Out To Sea' but nothing heavy. It can be so time consuming for me to get guitar based songs sounding right so I think I would probably drop a lot of riffs to discover to hear what others do with them. I do churn out new ones on an almost daily basis. Might also lead to a free rex based refill?

jfrichards, is there an updated version of this? Cause this map ends with the 2000's and since then much has happend, think about dubstep and trap and electro swing and whatnot...

As I've matured I've got into some new genres.

Halfway House, Hip-Replacement, Belly Flop, Viagra Hardcore, Senile Trance, Amnesic Trance, Slap*.  Man, as each day passes I enter into new realm of creativity.

* A slobbery form of Rap caused by loose dentures.
