PS- I am not sure RS are paying VAT to the UK Government anyway (I don't think you cant do it over £135 ?) so how/why are they charging this price in £? Buying in USD is the only thing that makes sense.
When I asked RS they would not confirm UK VAT was included in the price...so I am just assuming they are charging the UK between 40% more than the USA for the same software!

You can also buy the years subscription on line from 3rd party shops in $.....comes out at about £120 a year rather than £200 for exactly the same product/service.

Ok...then they must have made a mistake and given me the points for my purchase of R12 (on JRRShop) for free when I registered it on my RS account. 20 of them actually. For all the good they are..

I would be carful buying from them if you live in the U.K., the price might be low but they are doing some weird tax thing. There's something about it on the site was banging on about the uk leave the eu and customs agreement I got board reading it and have decided that I just won't use them anymore.

Was it the upgrade or a full version you bought at JRRShop and received 20 points for registering?

Same. 20 points for the upgrade from JRR when I registered.

I don't see why there would be a prob from the UK.
I'm in spain but I've got uk bank and details etc. Nothing bad happened.

Exactly. Guy was telling me you wouldn’t get points when I knew I did. Otherwise I wouldn’t have written it.

I just bit the bullet via this method and it was extremely easy. JRRshop immediately emailed the codes needed as well as a one-click link to add them to my account. Bam! Done.

Worked out to be closer to £88 though. Even still, it's a much better price than buying direct from RS.
