Hi
Can anyone help with this please. Is there a way to do this in R12 or a particular RE
What I’d like is to ‘program chords’ to a particular key (as in MIDI key on my controller)
So for instance say I wanted to play the progression. (This may not be musically correct)
C - Am9 - Fsus2 - G7
I would want to allocate C to C key on controller
Am9 to A key, Fsus2 to F key etc
I know I can use scales and chords but that needs to change inversions/ number of notes etc. I’m looking to store the particular chord to the key, so every time I hit the F key, Fsus2 is played
Many thanks
Graeme
Reason 12 or RE?
WIth stock devices, you can limit a key inside a Combinator to a specific device chain, which can have a S&C Players on front. This can also be transposed and programmed to play the exact chord you want.
The drawback is, you need to duplicate your instrument inside. This can be worked around with 3rd party Players, CV, and so on.
There are also a view 3rd party RE Players, which can do quite a lot with Chords playing and sequencing. I dunno all of them, but might be worth to look around for Players in the shop. There are also a few CV tools which can do some magic with Chords AFAIR.
If you wait a bit, i am sure someone have suggestions for a few RE, which can do the job well.

Reason12, Win10
Retouch Control ChordSet RE does what you’re looking for.

Wow, missed this RE - didn't know about it. Looks like it does the same job as Pad Perform chord progressions on a MPC.... I've been looking for a simple version of MPC PP chord functionality in a plugin for quite a while. Thanks for the tip.Billy+ wrote: ↑14 Jun 2022This one is the best option for you and it's a great little deviceMrFigg wrote: ↑14 Jun 2022Retouch Control ChordSet RE does what you’re looking for.
