So freaking AI taking the fun of music making?

WTF, i want robots to clean my house and make my food, in music they should tune the guitar, take care of freaking audio editing, and engraving (scoring stuff that I sing and write)...
Some people actually find cleaning the house like some sort of meditation. AI will never replace that need for them.
And making music is the same thing for a lot of us.

Superbooth24 starts today so I'm sure the Beta testing should start either today or tomorrow...
Nah, they have their hands full right now. My guess is after the weekend at the earliest.

I noticed they gave us an instrument, an effect, more sounds, even up dates in the sequencer but no player. Could that be in the big reveal.

There's not anything else to reveal. There is no new player. Forget about that "we hide things and then we make people happy" that is the past. These days it's all "build hype with the list of features" and that's it. I would be very very happy to be proven wrong but usually, what's in their public announcement is what is going to be released.

And let me be clear, I am not complaining and upgrading on day one for the sequencer upgrades. Added synth and delay are not needed so they feel like a bonus to me.

Yeah don't expect anything more than what is announced - otherwise that's a sure-fire way to be disappointed!

For me these days (and I'm sure many people) the big hurdle is price due to conversion rate - and I know they can't do anything about it.

But back in the days when an upgrade equalled around $180 AUD it was a no-brainer, whereas these days $199 USD is like $300 AUD .. that's a bit more of an ask.

There're many videos from Superbooth online, showing all kinds of stuff, but nothing about Reason :/

Nothing about software in general. It's all those blinky lights!

I'll pay 150 EUR no problem. If it is 200 I wait for the sales on upgrade.

I spent nearly 4000 EUR throughout the years with them. On upgrades and since the introduction of RE. So this upgrade won't destroy me.

I just want Reason 13 to make coffee for me.

And I will admit to myself in advance. I'll probably try Reason 13 and then gonna pay whatever amount is needed because I am irrational when it comes to Reason.

There...now I'll just shut up with red face

I will only upgrade if there's a huge discount on release. And only if the new browser is not as bad as I fear it is.

It's like...
Reason: Hey, good news, we removed the floating Tool Window.
Me:
Reason: We now turned the browser into a floating window.
Me: :o  :?

Conceptually, I agree - don't hate the company for not delivering something they have not promised - for your own good.

However, it's been confirmed by youtuber YYBY that there WILL be more than what was just on the new-in-13 page. I wouldn't hold my breath for a whole new player, I'm guessing it will be more improvements to the sequencer. I think next week they'll start with youtube teasers and demos and eventually some big livestreamed presentation (possibly only after launch but we'll see).

Update price of R12 was 129 euro, for a short period at introduction. I hope they do an 'early adopter discount' again this time

I m at Superbooth and I tried the new version and I can say reason 13 feels very good but it just the features that are already announced. So nothing more. But zooming (you can zoom in the timeline now) and getting around reason feels really good and mordern and the look is great in my opinion. I m a bit sceptical about the new pop up browser but its better then the old one. The new synth sounds very good and the new delay is amazing.

How the drag and drop handled with the new browser? Will it hides automatically? Was the presentation on a mac system? I wonder how Reason 13 looks on a windows system.

I had to close it with close button but I guess there is a shortcut for this. They have macbooks here and I m a windows user so it's quite difficult for me. You can pop it up with ctrl/option F.
