Happy user.
I could swear that Soundcloud puts some weird mastering on the music... Maybe i should give Alihoopsy a chance next time...Lowas wrote:Was lots of fun, got to dig a little deeper into Parsec 2, enjoy
I don't know if it's imagination but it seems to sound better at allihoopa
Reason12, Win10

Yeah Soundclouds sound quality is pretty terrible imo. It's pretty annoying when you've put all your efforts to make a good sounding mix. As soon as you upload it on Soundcloud it's like a new mix, a shittier one.Loque wrote:I could swear that Soundcloud puts some weird mastering on the music... That's why I entered with a youtube video in the Legend Song Challenge this time around. I just got tired of having my mix massacred, especially for a high quality sounding synth like The Legend. It's pretty bad when a video streaming website does a better job at sound than a website that's designed specifically to play music.
I'm not sure how good Allihoopa is sound quality wise but I read somewhere it's about as good (bad) as Soundcloud. But I haven't tried it, maybe it's worth a try.

Does this mean I can use third party drum samples, or just FSB drum samples?Any Factory Sound Bank drums and/or samples, but not drums and/or samples from external plug-ins.
If I can use third party drum and percussion samples how can I know if they are created with "external plug-ins"?

You may use any drum samples, as clarified below:Prozack wrote:Just to double check... do the drum samples have to be reason refills? Or can we use drum samples from a sample pack that's not from Reason? Totally understand that this is a reason competition and it all should be in house.
What you may not use in your song:
- No instrument samples (you can use drums samples and samples of Parsec Spectral Synthesizer)

Interpreting this as strictly as possible, does this mean a Combinator patch using Parsec for primary sound output and a default rack plugin like e.g. Malström or Thor for CVR generation isn't permitted? What you may not use in your song:
No synth that is not Parsec Spectral Synthesizer (including Combinators featuring Parsec Spectral Synthesizer that include any other synth)
One of my biggest gripes with Parsec is the limited number of LFO waveforms...

Yes, this is permitted.Sugekoppen wrote:Interpreting this as strictly as possible, does this mean a Combinator patch using Parsec for primary sound output and a default rack plugin like e.g. Malström or Thor for CVR generation isn't permitted? What you may not use in your song:

[quote="Noel G."]Welcome to Reasonistas and Propellerhead's Parsec Spectral Synthesizer Song Challenge.
"2nd place: Parsec 2, PX7 and Synchronous"
If someone who comes in second and happens to have these particular re's they would be better off coming in 3rd and being able to select 1.
If this happens will negotiation be possible?
