newb question 2 .does reason in anyway show a connection through usb midi to a synthersizer or usb device or does it only recognize midi midi

erm im doomed i can add a control surface to my akai mpk my behringer umc and triggerfinger pro but reason carnt find my roland tb3, behringer neutron and korg kaosspad mk3 though they work on full midi the manual insists that they should show as control surfaces or be available to be chosen as control surfaces
any ideas wellcome!

Short answer is yes, Reason can see your USB Midi connected gear (if that was your question).

If Reason doesn't know the specific controller (i.e. it's not in the list) then you can always add them as "Generic Multichannel MIDI Controller" and then select their MIDI ports manually.

Reason's not going to auto-recognize a control surface unless there's a remote map for it. For the TB3 and Kaosspad you have to set them up manually in Reason.

Maybe not relevant here but Reason doesn’t automatically recognise my Line 6 KB37 when I start up. (There is a profile for it in preferences). I always have to pull out the usb and plug it in again before I can use it. Using Windows 10 but was the same when I had Windows 7. Any ideas why?

yup thats where they dont show up even with the new codecs a stroke of good news is the kaos pad showed up but not the neutron or the tb3

Aha ive unpluged and repluged the midi usb cables this fixed 2 out of 3 of my offboard devices , ive bought a couple of new hubs and hopefully thats the answer to the problems ive been having. Sorry to have bothered you all.
